4.Description
This exhibition features 100 pieces of pre-Hispanic art inspired by the cult of the jaguar. The Mayans, Aztecs and Olmecs all worshipped the jaguar as a god. For the Mayans, in particular, the jaguar was the guardian god of their kings, commanding the sun to rise and set. This works gathered from these these various cultures includes funerary urns, masks and musical instruments. Tel: 6337-0491/2.
